Conference Update

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, NYSPHA, together with NYSACHO, has decided to postpone the Public Health Partnership Conference until next year. We believe this is the best option to protect everyone’s health and to be respectful of the time public health professionals and state and local health department staff are spending on local response and mitigation efforts.

This conference is intended to provide a unique opportunity to focus on the important work being done in the area of Environmental Health. Currently, our plan is to present much of the 2020 program at the new conference dates in 2021. This also includes all awards and student posters.

The new conference dates will be April 28-30, 2021 and the event will take place at the elegant Renaissance Westchester Hotel located near New York City in West Harrison, NY.

Rest assured, we will have the opportunity to hold this event at the spectacular Niagara Falls location- our 2022 conference will take place at the Niagara Falls Convention Center!

Your intended participation and commitment to our 2020 Public Health Partnership Conference is greatly appreciated and we want to share the following:

For Conference Presenters and Poster Presenters

All presentations will roll over to the new 2021 dates. A member of our team will be reaching out to you to confirm details and availability. We are also evaluating options to provide some of the planned presentations as individual live webinars throughout the year.

For Conference Exhibitors and Sponsors

Thank you for your generous support - we would like to extend your participation/sponsorship to our 2021 Public Health Partnership Conference. We will be in touch with you to discuss feasibility and details.

For Conference Attendees

We would love to see you at our 2021 Public Health Partnership Conference. Your registration and payment will automatically roll over to the new dates/location. If you prefer to cancel, there are two ways to do so:

1. Login to nyspha.org and view your account. From there, you can cancel your registration. This cancellation will result in a credit on your account (if you have already paid). This credit may be used towards membership dues or future event registrations. If you prefer a refund, contact us at info@nsypha.org and we will process the refund for you.

2. Email us at info@nyspha.org and we can manually cancel your registration. Please indicate in the email if you would like a refund or want to keep the credit on your account for membership dues or a future event.

All hotel reservations at the Sheraton at the Falls have been automatically cancelled. We will share information on our website and in future emails about how to secure a room at the Renaissance Westchester Hotel at the discounted group rate.

Those registered through NYSACHO/CEHD: Please know that NYSACHO will be mailing reimbursement for the conference registration fees to those who already paid.

For Those Who Purchased Print Advertisements

We will reach out to your directly to discuss options for a refund, rolling over to the new dates or other opportunities. NYSPHA will be working on a variety of media and advertising projects throughout the rest of 2020.

We look forward to sharing additional public health events and opportunities with you in the near future and wish everyone good health! We thank you for your commitment to the work that you do in this most extraordinary time in the field of public health.
