Public Health Partnership Conference 

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, the Public Health Partnership Conference will be postponed until next year. Currently, our plan is to present much of the 2020 program at the new conference dates in 2021. This also includes all awards and student posters. 

The new conference dates will be April 28-30, 2021 and the event will take place at the elegant Renaissance Westchester Hotel located near New York City in West Harrison, NY. 

Our 70th Annual Meeting & Conference will offer scientific sessions in a variety of formats including large plenary sessions and smaller concurrent sessions.

This conference is designed for public health educators, academic staff, county health officials and employees, students, medical and dental practitioners, state health employees and others in the field of public health, education and medical care.  We welcome all individuals and organizations who share a common interest of promoting and protecting the public’s health.

Call for Abstracts/Presenters

The call for abstracts is now closed. All notifications of acceptance status have been sent via email. We are asking presenters who were originally selected for presentation for the 2020 dates to present at our new 2021 dates/location. More information will be sent by our staff. 

Presenters who wish to attend the conference must register at the appropriate member/non-member rate below. Presenters who will only be attending to present their session should contact us to arrange logistics. We greatly appreciate presenters' contributions to this public health conference.


Student Poster Contest

A call for student posters will be released in Winter 2021. 

Student posters selected for the contest will be presented at the conference. NYSPHA members will have the opportunity to vote for a "Member's Choice Award" for best poster! 

Award Nominations 

Each year at our Annual Meeting we have the honor of presenting several awards for outstanding service in the field of public health. A nomination form for award recipients can be found on our awards page.  If there is an individual or organization that you would like to nominate for one of the following awards please submit your nomination. The individual or organization that you nominate does not have to be a member of NYSPHA. Continuing Education

The 2021 Public Health Partnership Conference will offer continuing education hours for CHES entry-level credits, MCHES advanced level credits and CPH credits. Up to 7 credit hours are available for the conference (Thursday and Friday) with 3 additional hours available for the pre-conference workshop on Wednesday. Please indicate on your registration form if you will be seeking CHES (and add your CHES number for easy tracking) or CPH credits. These credits are being offered free of charge with your paid registration. 


        Transfer/Cancellation Policy

    • All those registered for the original 2020 dates in Niagara Falls will automatically be rolled over to the 2021 dates in Westchester. If you wish to cancel this registration due to the postponement, please email us and a full refund will be granted via your original method of payment. If you paid by check, a refund check will be sent with your direction. 
    • If you register for the 2021 conference and cannot attend, you may transfer your registration to another person. All transfer/cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and received by NYSPHA no later than April 22, 2021. Please submit your request via email to
    • Cancellations received on or before April 22, 2021 will be refunded less a $10 administrative fee.
    • Cancellations received April 23, 2021 or later are not refundable.  Space at each event is limited. No-shows will be charged the full registration fee.


      Conference registrations may be completed online and paid online via credit card or PayPal. You may also complete your payment offline via check or purchase order by registering online, printing your confirmation form and mailing it with payment to:

      If your company requires payment be made after an event or if you plan to pay on-site, please send an email to us for approval. We will mark your account accordingly so your registration is confirmed.

      *Student rates are available for full-time students who are not yet working full-time in the field.

      Rates above are for the conference only, not the pre-conference on April 29th.

      The registration form includes the option of adding the pre-conference workshop on April 29th (1:30 PM - 5:00 PM). The pre-conference registration fee is $65 for NYSPHA members and $80 for non-members. 


          Hotel Information

      All events will take place at the elegant Renaissance Westchester Hotel located in West Harrison, NY. 

      A block of rooms has been reserved for Tuesday, April 27, Wednesday, April 28 and Thursday, April 29, 2021. Rooms will be offered under our block at the prevailing NYS government rate (currently $145/night). Reservations may be made directly with the hotel by calling 914 694-5400 and referencing NYS Public Health Association 2021.

      Hotel Parking- Parking at the hotel is complimentary.

      Food & Beverage- Lunch and coffee breaks are included with your Annual Meeting registration fee. The chef has designed a menu to meet the “Healthy Meeting Guidelines” recommended by the New York State Department of Health. Gluten-free options will also be available. 

      Conference Attire- Business-casual attire is suited for this event. Please keep in mind that meeting room temperatures vary. You may want to bring a jacket or sweater to all sessions.

      Payment Information- Registration fees may be paid via credit card (via PayPal) online only or offline via check or purchase order. Registration on-site is available but we highly recommend you complete the registration form online to secure your spot. Online registration will close on April 25th.
