Presentation Description:

At its core, an advocate is someone who both promotes and protects the interests of patients. That may look differently to different patients in different disease communities, but the basics are the same – guiding someone through the healthcare system. This presentation will aim to provide evidence-based education about endometriosis, a chronic disease affecting 176 million women and girls, and offer strategies to not only advocate for patients, but help them advocate for themselves to ensure they can make empowered and informed decisions about their care.
